OCL provides Chorus with a comprehensive range of services. As one of the few contractors capable of delivering a full “turnkey” solution for UFB fibre installation, OCL has the expertise and resources to handle every aspect of the process. This includes installing roadside cabinets, ducting, manholes, cable hauling, termination, and testing, ensuring a fully operational system before handing it over to Chorus.

OCL also offers project management, site management, and traffic management services as part of these projects. Each project is supported by extensive “as-built” documentation, detailed test results, and strict adherence to health and safety requirements. OCL is responsible for submitting traffic management plans to Auckland Council and ensures final project sign-off with all relevant local authorities. Notably, OCL has successfully completed UFB rollouts in Drury, Pukekohe, Waiuku, and Coromandel.

Beyond UFB installations, OCL specialises in cable hauling, having completed over 17 kilometres of cable hauling in Auckland’s CBD. Additionally, OCL provides experienced outside plant copper cable jointers, when needed.
